창세기 1-2

# 하나님이 세상을 창조하셨을 때
누가 세상을 창조했을까? 진화론의 이야기처럼 인간은 원숭이에서 진화된 것일까? 아니다. 성경은 ‘하나님께서 태초에 하늘과 땅을 창조하셨다’고 분명히 말하고 있다. 그 땅은 지금과 달리 생물 하나 없이 텅 비어 있었다. 어둠이 깊은 바다를 덮고 있었다. 그런데 어떻게 지금의 모습이 되었을까?

# 보시기에 좋았더라! It was Real Good
아무것도 없고 밤과 같이 어두웠던 그 때, “빛이 생겨라!”하고 하나님께서 말씀하셨다. 그러자 말씀대로 빛이 생겼다. 그 빛은 하나님께서 보시기에 좋았다. 하나님께서 빛과 어둠을 나누어 빛을 ‘낮’이라 부르고 어둠을 ‘밤’이라 부르시니 이날이첫째 날이었다.

처음에 지구는 물로 덮여 있었고 육지가 없었다. 물 한가운데 둥근 공간을 만들고 그 공간을 ‘하늘’이라 부르시니 이날이 둘째 날이었다. 셋째 날 ‘땅’과 ‘바다’, ‘식물’그리고 넷째 날‘해’와‘달’과‘별’을 만드니 하나님께서 보시기에 좋았다.

다섯째날은 ‘물고기’와 ‘새’를 그 종류에 따라 창조하셨다. 하나님께서 좋아하시며 “새끼를 많이 낳고, 번성하여 바닷물을 가득채워라. 새들도 땅위에서 번성하라”고 말씀하셨다.

여섯째 날, 하나님께서 온갖 들짐승과 가축, 땅 위에서 기어 다니는 생물을 각기 종류대로 만드셨다. 그리고 하나님의 형상대로 사람을 창조하시되, 남자와 여자를 만드셨다. 하나님께서 손수 만드신 모든 것을 보시고 매우 좋아하셨다.

# 어떻게 이 모든 것을 만드셨을까? How did God think of all those things?!
하나님께서 만드신 모든 것을 보라. 코끼리와 기린, 원숭이, 원숭이가 먹는 바나나까지. 어떻게 이 모든 것을 생각하셨을까? 얼마나 창의력이 뛰어나신가? 창의적이신 하나님은 마지막으로 하나님의 형상을 따라 우리를 만드셨다. 우리는 모
두 하나님의 형상들이다. 언제나 이것을 기억하라.

# 좋으신 하나님! God is so wonderful!
일곱째 되는 날, 하나님께서 모든 일을 끝내고 쉬셨다. 하나님께서는 일곱째 되는 날에 복을 주시고, 그날을 거룩하게 하셨다. 이것은 무엇을 의미할까? 일곱째 날은 거룩하게 보내길 원하시는 것이다. 하던 일을 멈추고 주님 앞에 나와 예배
드리길 말이다.

하나님은 모든 것을 만드시고 우리를 만드신 창조주이자, 처음과 끝이다. 그가 모든 것을 창조하시고 기뻐하신 것과 하나님의 형상대로 우리를 만드신 것을 잊지 말자. 좋으신 하나님(God is so wonderful)!

And It was Real Good!

# The First Day
Before there was anything, there was GOD. In the very beginning there was no shape to God's creation at all, and everywhere it was black as night. So God said, "Let there be light!" And there was light.

# The Second Day
God put the blue sky between the deep waters that covered the earth and the blackness of space. And there was evening and there was morning. The second day was over, and a new day was ready to begin.

# The Third Day
God gathered the waters together and made the dry land appear. God called the dry land "Earth" and the water he called "Sea." God looked at all that he had made, and he saw that it was good.

# The Fourth Day
God said, "Let the great lights appear in the sky!" (so we would know when to go to bed and when to get up for school). And just by his word, God made the sun and the moon and the stars. He made them out of nothing at all!

# The Fifth Day
God said, "Let there be swimming things in the oceans and lakes, and birds in the air!" Until then the earth must have been a very quiet place. But not any more!

# The Sixth Day
Then God said, "Let there be animals upon the earth!" God made giraffes, and zebras, and lions and tigers and bears. How did God think of all those things?! What a great imagination God has!

Then God said, "Let us make people in our own image" (God said, "us" because God the Father was there, and so was Jesus, and so was the Holy Spirit - but still he was just one God). So God made people in his own image.

# You are the image of God
You are the image of God. Always remember that. So God looked at all that he had made, and he saw that it was good.

# The Seventh Day
God saw that the whole universe and everything in it was finished. Nothing else needed to be made. And it was all very good. And so God rested on the seventh day. He celebrated all the good work he had done. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy.
